McKenna, Arcand, Chiarelli to Address Wind Energy Industry

Future for wind energy to be discussed at CanWEA Spring Forum
Ottawa, Ontario – March 30, 2016 – The Canadian Wind Energy Association (CanWEA) is inviting accredited media to attend the CanWEA Spring Forum on April 5 to 6, 2016 at the Hilton Lac Leamy Hotel in the National Capital Region.
The CanWEA Spring Forum promises dynamic and timely access to information on the most pressing provincial and federal energy initiatives, including: the next steps of Ontario’s Long Term Energy Plan; Quebec’s future energy policy; Alberta’s new climate change action plan; Saskatchewan’s renewable energy targets; and how decisions made at COP21 will shape energy policies both on a federal and provincial level across Canada.
In addition to a line-up of wind energy expert speakers, three federal/provincial ministers will provide remarks, including:
- The Honourable Catherine McKenna, Canada’s federal Minister of Environment and Climate Change;
- Minister Pierre Arcand, Quebec’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources and the Minister Responsible for the Plan Nord; and
- The Honourable Bob Chiarelli, Ontario’s Minister of Energy.
