Canada moves up in global attractiveness rating

Canada has climbed to sixth spot from eighth in Ernst and Young’s latest Renewable Energy Country Attractiveness Index. “A bill to drop domestic content requirements and plans to prevent the construction of new coal plants in Ontario, together with a call for tenders for 450 MW of wind farms in Quebec, have helped boost the market’s attractiveness,” says the February quarterly assessment.
